Jeffrey Wolk, President

As President, Philip is responsible for leading the Manhattan chapter of the National Association of REALTORS. Representing New York City, as the most dynamic real estate market in the world, is both a humbling responsibility and an unrivaled opportunity to promote the interest of our clients, members, and affiliates. Today's market is changing more rapidly than at any time in history, and requires its leaders to have deep expertise in finance, technology, and sales & marketing. Philip was chosen to lead the association based on his diverse skill set and broad experience leading companies in the real estate, technology, and venture capital industries.

Philip has served on the Board of Directors since 2006, and has been instrumental in projects aimed at improving transparency, disintermediation, and global reach on behalf of agents, brokers, buyers, sellers, investors, and affiliates to real estate transactions. The initiatives for 2009 are bold in nature and audacious in scope, and are reflective of today's market conditions - widespread access to real estate data, the broadest possible marketing and distribution of listings, and the most seamless transactions possible between all parties.

Philip's background is one of the broadest and most varied in the industry. Since his 1994 arrival in NYC, he has co-founded and led a diverse range of companies, including a pioneer online grocery service company (Information Neighborhood), an India-based venture capital fund (Soft Bank China India), an early-stage technology incubator (Rare Medium Ventures), and a NY-based property development firm (Realm Property Group). This breadth of industry exposure, along with first-hand experience at every level of a real estate firm - from agent, to broker, to head of firm-wide sales - ensures that the technology vision is driven by sales and customer relationship objectives.

Philip first became interested in transforming the real estate industry while leading dotcom start-ups that were re-drawing the landscape of one established industry after another during the first internet boom. He joined Prudential Douglas Elliman in February 2003 and quickly co-founded Group360, a team focused on developing innovative real estate practices. By 2005, he was ranked in the top 8% of Prudential agents nationwide. In February 2006, Philip joined Dwelling Quest as COO, where he helped spin off the residential division to form Century21 New York Metro. In less than a year time, it was ranked in the top 0.5% of all Century21 offices worldwide. He joined Coldwell Banker Previews International as Chief Technologist in Oct 2007, and is leveraging the latest innovations to capitalize on the firms unrivaled global network. He is a founding member of Coldwell Bankers global technology think tank, CB iLabs.

In his free time, Philip's interests range from adventure and endurance events (he has climbed Mt Kilimanjaro and completed Ironman Lake Placid - twice) to charitable pursuits (he has been a volunteer puppy raiser for Canine Companions for Independence and is an active member of The Carnegie Hall Notables). He sits on the Board of Directors for the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and continues to actively support entrepreneurship through involvement with early stage venture financing.

Philip attended the United States Air Force Academy, where he concentrated in computer science and behavioral science, was a member of the elite Sabre Drill Team, and was responsible for training more than 1000 cadets. He currently resides in Midtown West.

Frederick P. Wohlfarth, Treasurer

Frederick P. Wohlfarth is a specialist in residential real estate who knows the real estate business from the ground up. Rick established Wohlfarth & Associates, his own Upper West Side brokerage firm in 1978, after five years of valuable experience in New York City's vacant building program, as a developer and general contractor creating moderate and low income housing in fringe areas. Rick also brings to the field professional experience in accounting -- he's a CPA who has worked for ten years with both a public accounting firm and a Fortune 500 company. As an investor in New York City buildings for co-op conversion and condominium development, Rick lives on the Upper West Side and thus has the advantage of knowing intimately the townhouses, co-ops and condominiums from Central Park West to Riverside Drive, from Columbia University to Central Park South, and he is knowledgeable about properties all over the city. As principal of Wohlfarth and Associates, his own highly regarded brokerage firm, Rick emphasizes the following factors as instrumental to the firm's success and solid reputation: personal interest and service, thorough knowledge of the market, good negotiating skills, honesty, and accountability. During the past two years, Rick has sold and leased over $100 million worth of properties, ranging from luxury co-ops and condos, to lofts and mint condition townhouses. Over the years, Rick has assumed a leadership position within the industry, formerly as Chair of the West Side Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), whose mission is to promote and uphold the highest professional standards of practice. Rick has also been a member of REBNY's Deal of the Year and Public Relations Committees. In addition, Rick is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of CPA's. He is a frequent lecturer at numerous institutions including New York University, the City University of New York, and REBNY. Rick knows that buying and selling a home are important and complex financial and personal decisions, and his warm, no-nonsense straightforward manner reassures his clients. Diligently researching and co-broking throughout the city, he updates his clients and thoroughly prepares the necessary materials for successful presentations to banks and co-op boards. Rick likes to point out that the personal referrals from satisfied buyers and sellers have been instrumental in building his business and establishing his reputation. Clients appreciate Rick's patience, his clear and detailed explanations of the residential market, and the integrity that he brings to all transactions. He is recognized throughout the profession as a broker's broker and he works diligently to uphold this proud reputation.
